I so enjoyed this, but would love to see it without explanations of the sign language, it's like a "praying" dance. Thanks for posting this. I loved John Denver singing, it was soothing.
How beautiful. I was John Denver's personal host around 1982 when he visited PepsiCo Inc in Purchase, NY - the headquarters - at the invitation of Donald Kendall for Kendall's retirement. Denver was to sing a few songs in the tents we set up for the formal catering, and he wanted to use the fitness center and showers to warm up his voice. So I cleared them out (I was facility manager), and I took Denver into the place and waited with him. Later I met Barbara Walters (very snooty) and Mikhail Baryshnikov (who enjoyed my Russian), and Caspar Weinburger (a fish out of water with all of the gliterratti). Denver caused Weinberger to leave when he sang "Beat our weapons into plowshares". -Greg
Sandy thanks for stopping by my blog and the comments. This morning I was checking out some of your other sites and got to start my morning with John Denvers Lords Prayer pretty neat Thank you.
Most often the religious traditions do not speak of the sacred abstractly; rather they name it--as Yahweh, Brahman, Atman, Allah, the Tao, Great Spirit, God. This is not to suppose that all these names mean the same thing. But it is to suppose that the impulse to name something sacred flows out of the experience of the sacred.
