Janie, whose blog is Colloquium, posted this writing meme, which she picked up from Just Write, and it got me to thinking...so I decided to participate. The rules:
1. List three writing tips; and
2. Tag three people whose writing style you would like to imitate.
My three tips:
1. Be honest. Speak for and from your heart.
2. Be clear. Get as close as possible to the experience by using the most precise language.
3. Be kind. In every way. Let kindness guide your heart, your mind, your pen.
Three writers whose style I admire:
Queenie, Marilyn, and Stev

Is writing, do you think, a sort of window? It can be clear, or it can be fogged over. It can reveal inner secrets, or shut out strangers. It can let in fresh air (if open) or stifle you (if closed). What I have trouble understanding most is myself. When I write, the process itself squeezes me like a toothpaste tube, and out comes what I fear, detest, or love.
My goodness what a compliment, you admire my writing! Compared to you, my amateur penmanship is rubbish, maybe its because its from the heart, even if it doest always make sense. Is it OK if I do it later? Thanks again Sandy, you made me blush!!!
How coincidental that we both did this today unbeknownst to each other. I like to go around and read the others answers, always perusing for good advice.
good tips indeed
love the mention of 'kindness' besides honesty & clarity
gosh. i'm admired? *feels flattered*
